William Alkhoury, MA, LPC
Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider, Existential-Logotherapist
William holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received extensive training in the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI), recognized as one of the leading programs in psychedelic therapy. Additionally, he has been trained in Existential-Logotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), bridging these approaches into his practice.
William’s therapeutic approach is deeply enriched by a passion for Jungian Depth Psychology and Eastern Philosophy, also drawing significant influence from the pioneering works of Stanislav Grof, Terence McKenna, and Charles Tart. Grof's innovative research into non-ordinary states of consciousness, McKenna's explorations of psychedelics and human consciousness, and Tart’s work on altered states and transpersonal psychology have profoundly shaped his therapeutic work.
For the past 17 years, William has been a devoted follower of the I Ching, Book of Changes, an ancient mathematical divinatory tool and oracle system, used in China since around 1000 B.C. The I Ching, which Carl Jung famously used to support his theory of synchronicity and reflecting universal archetypes, is an integral and centrally important part of humanity's shamanic heritage, and from the home of classical shamanism and Taoist magic.
By integrating these diverse influences, William offers a unique and holistic approach to mental health, blending traditional psychotherapy with both cutting- edge innovations and timeless wisdom. His practice is dedicated to fostering deep personal transformation and growth by integrating diverse therapeutic modalities and ancient practices to support clients on their journey towards healing and self- discovery.
